Thursday 12:38pm: At work, designing a campaign for footwear and realize I’m selling myself on the product line.

Naked Feet’s FW23 collection just dropped, and the collection of loafers, sneakers and mules are just the kind of staples I live in from workday to weekend.
My lifestyle doesn’t allow for compromise, and versatility is key as I juggle a fast-paced career, mom life, family life, personal life, and try to maintain sanity in composure as time slips by all too fast. A new level of efficiency is required in order to accomplish a “normal day”, and I don’t have the time to let my footwear slow me down.

As such, I’ve become much more utilitarian in my fashion choices. Yet, fashion speaks and I’m not quite ready to give up some form of self-expression in my style. In enters Naked Feet – a brand I’ve been working with since conception, and have been involved with everything from product design to brand management.

This season, the FW23 arrivals are truly more exciting than ever, with a collection of office essentials that were literally designed around the concept of my lifestyle.

Naked Feet shoes nails it with slip-on loafers with chunky chain details, sneaker-loafer hybrids, and soft constructions like the new Maison loafer that were designed around the concept of a slipper you can wear to work. Running around and somehow still managing to feel pulled together suddenly seems a lot easier.

In an era of excess, there are a few of us splitting from the pack to become more minimalist in our approach in order to simplify. Longevity and versatility become ultimate qualities that are essential in our fashion choices, where our wardrobe can be reduced with fewer long-term, better quality essentials rather than piles of fast-fashion that is quite literally clogging up our society.

With a closet still over-full of shoes, the collection has me questioning which new styles I need to fill-in the gaps of everyday office essentials, and which pairs in my wardrobe I can weed out and replace.

Here’s to an exciting season of Naked Feet shoes.
